Netflix has picked up the detective comedy HANDSOME, directed by actor-comedian Jeff Garlin. Part mystery, part comedy, the film stars Garlin as the titular Gene Handsome, a Los Angeles homicide detective trying to figure out his life while he solves crimes.
Garlin co-wrote the script with Andrea Siegel. The film boasts an all-star cast of comedians and actors including Natasha Lyonne, Amy Sedaris, Leah Remini, Steven Weber, Eddie Peppitone, and Christine Woods. Garlin is set to produce alongside David Miner and Vern Davidson.
Garlin’s most recent film credits include Laggies, which was written by Siegel. He currently stars in the ABC sitcom The Goldbergs and is attached to reprise his role as Buttercup in Toy Story 4. He will also appear in season nine of Curb Your Enthusiasm on HBO.
