New Line Taps Isla Fisher as Latest Cast Member in Comedy “Tag”

New Line’s upcoming comedy TAG has added another name to its all-star cast, the Tracking Board has confirmed: Keeping Up with the Joneses . She joins the likes of Ed Helms, Jeremy Renner, Rashida Jones, and Joneses co-star Jon Hamm.

The project, which is set so start shooting later this month in Atlanta, is based on a 2013 Wall Street Journal article about the true story of group of friends who have been playing an intense game of tag for 30 years. Fisher is set to play the wife of Helms’ character and the brains behind the current iteration of their game.

Also appearing in the film are Jake Johnson, Hannibal Buress, and Annabelle Wallis.

Jeff Tomsic is directing the movie, which is set for a June 29, 2018 release, based on an adaptation penned by Mark Steilen and Rob McKittrick. Todd Garner, Mark Steilen, and Sean Robins are producing.

Fisher most recently appeared in the aforementioned Joneses and Tom Ford’s drama Nocturnal Animals. She’s currently in on several films including Paramount’s Groupies and three films for Universal, including Kiss and Tell, Life Coach, and The Cookie Queen. She’s repped by .
