New Season Of “Arrested Development” Slated For 2016

Last month, executive producer Brian Grazer had confirmed in an interview that the series  will be returning for another seventeen episodes. Now, he has revealed that fans should expect the new season in the Summer of 2016. Production has been officially set for January and Grazer stated that it will take around four months for the content to be produced.

The series stars Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Portia DeRossi, Alia Shawkat, Will Arnett, David Cross, Tony Hale, Jessica Walter and Jeffrey Tambour. Fox originally aired the series for three seasons between 2003 and 2006. Seven years later, Netflix picked up the series for a fourth season, with the complete cast reprising their roles. The streaming service will be producing the upcoming episodes. Series creator Mitch Hurwitz is currently developing content under a first look deal with Netflix, and will return for the upcoming episodes. When they will be shot is currently unknown.
