A LIFE IN THE DAY, the story of Beatles’ manager Brian Epstein, may have found its lead in Nicholas Hoult who is circling the project. Jack O’Connell is considering the project as well, potentially taking on the role of John Lennon.
The script from Tony Gittelson portrays the legendary relationship between the pair. Many have debated how close the two really were, with even Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono quoted as saying, “It was almost a love affair, but not quite.” Epstein managed the pop culture sensation from 1961-1067 before dying at 32 from a drug overdose.
Justin Chadwick is in talks to direct with David Permut producing through Permut Presentations along with Rivers Edge Films.
Hoult was seen earlier this summer in the hit film Mad Max: Fury Road and is about to begin production on Sand Castle with Henry Cavill and Luke Evans. O’Connell meanwhile just finished filming the Chadwick-directed Tulip Fever.
Hoult is repped by 42 in the UK and UTA in the U.S.
O’Connell is repped by Conway Van Gelder Grant in the UK and CAA in the U.S.
Chadwick is repped by Independent Talent Group in the UK and UTA in the U.S.
