Nick Cannon will star as “Freeway” Rick Ross in the UNTITLED CASSAVETES RICK ROSS BIOPIC PROJECT.
The film, being written by Nick Cassavetes, chronicles the rise of “Freeway” Rick Ross as he starts out in the 80s selling cocaine nationwide. Ross (not to be confused with the rapper Rick Ross) has stated that Cannon was his choice for the role.
Ross will produce with David Zander and Geno Taylor.
The last film Cannon starred in was 2009’s “The Killing Room” but he recently wrapped on the crime-drama “Weapons”.
He is repped by ICM.
