Rising star Nick Eversman joins the ever growing cast of CBS Film’s teen comedy THE DUFF. The project centers on a 17-year-old girl who goes through the five stages of grief when she unwittingly discovers that she is the DUFF (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) of her group. Mae Whitman stars as the DUFF alongside mean girl Bella Thorne. Eversman has been cast as Whitman’s crush who asks her out to get more information about her friends, played by Skyler Samuels and Bianca Santos.
Eversman is a relative newcomer to the scene, having appeared in the ABC series “Missing” with Ashley Judd and CW’s “The Tomorrow People.” His upcoming roles include playing a young Mick Jagger in the James Brown biopic “Get on Up” as well as in Jean-Marc Vallée’s drama “Wild” which stars Reese Witherspoon as a woman who goes on a solo 1,100-mile hike, undertaken as a way to recover from a recent catastrophe.
Eversman is repped by ICM.
