Jonathan Baker-directed thriller INCONCEIVABLE has tapped Nicolas Cage, Faye Dunaway, Nicky Whelan, and Natalie Eva Marie to star. The project hails from Emmett/Furla/Oasis and Baker Entertainment.
The film centers on Katie (Whelan), who moves to town with her young daughter to start a new life after enduring abuse in her past. She befriends another mother, Angela, and her husband Brian (Cage). Angela notices odd behavior from Katie and begins to question whether Katie’s intentions are as innocent as she makes them out to be, or if something dark is lurking beneath the surface.
Baker produces with Randall Emmett, George Furla, and Daniel Herther, while Wayne Marc Godfrey of Fyzz Facility and Arnaud Lannic and Barry Brooker are executive producing. The script was penned by Chloe King and is due to begin production next month. Lionsgate Premiere is releasing the film domestically while Highland Film Group is handling international distribution.
This will be Cage’s fifth film with Emmett/Furla, he can next be seen in Oliver Stone’s Snowden opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt and he’s a producer and star in Vengeance: A Love Story due out next year. It is also the 15th cinematic team-up between Emmett/Furla and Lionsgate. The production company is currently in post on Silence with Martin Scorsese and recently wrapped Kevin Connolly’s Gotti starring John Travolta.
Cage is repped by CAA and LINK Entertainment.
Dunaway is repped by Zero Gravity Management and London Theatrical in the UK.
Marie is repped by WME.
Whelan is repped by ICM and Luber Roklin Entertainment.
