Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth are in advanced talks to round out the second-completed cast of the upcoming Wentworth Miller-penned (as Ted Foulke) STOKER. The project, which previously had Carey Mulligan, Jodie Foster and Johnny Depp (and Wentworth Miller before that) did a full about face, when Mulligan’s schedule became filled, and she exited, and was swiftly replaced by Mia Wasikowska. Following that move, was this apparent full recasting!
Truthfully, while we think Wasikowska’s casting is brilliant, and fits the character so much better, Kidman and Firth don’t fit AT ALL!
In a perfect world, we take 1 piece from each of the 3 casting phases, and we have a perfect cast in…
- Wentworth Miller (casting round 1)
- Jodie Foster (casting round 2)
- Mia Wasikowska (casting round 3)
For anyone who’s read the script, I think they’d agree! What do you think?
