As reported by Deadline, BOOM! Studios and Nine Stories are pitching SNOW BLIND to various bidders.
The project will be an adaptation of the graphic novel by Ollie Masters. The script will be written by Patrick Ness. Ross Richie, Stephen Christy, Adam Yoelin, Jake Gyllenhaal and Riva Marker will produce. Gustav Möller is attached to direct. Gyllenhaal is also attached star.
The thriller centers on high school student Teddy whose life in a sleepy suburb in Alaska is turned upside down when he innocently posts a photo of his dad online, only to learn he and his family are in the Witness Protection Program. A man seeking revenge invades their town, and then is soon followed by pursuing FBI agents.
Due to social distancing limitations, “potential buyers received a link to a recorded video of the pitch with an introduction from Gyllenhaal and Möller.”
