Michael Mann has been trying to get the untitled biopic about ENZO FERRARI off the ground for fifteen years, and he may be one step closer as Noomi Rapace circles the role of Ferrari’s wife, Laura Dominica.
Rapace would play opposite Christian Bale who signed on for Enzo’s role in August. The film has been picking up steam since receiving funding from Vendian and YooZoo Bliss Fund. Paramount has picked up the distribution rights.
The script is adapted from Brock Yates’ book Enzo Ferrari: The Man, The Cars, The Races, The Machine and recounts the protagonist’s ascent from from racer, to building his empire, and slowing giving it over to Fiat, while also depicting his tyrannical nature and hatred of of his marriage.
Rapace is most well-known for her work in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Swedish film series, and came to the attention of American audiences after starring in Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows and Prometheus.
