Oliver Platt, Molly Parker, Barbara Hershey, and Aiden Longworth have joined the cast of director Alexandre Aja’s THE 9TH LIFE OF LOUIS DRAX. Adapted by Max Minghella from Liz Jensen’s novel of the same name, the film follows a doctor who is drawn into a strange and fantastical mystery after a boy survives his ninth near-fatal accident. Aaron Paul, Jamie Dornan, and Sarah Gadon star.
Platt has had a long and varied career in film and television. His film CV includes roles in The Three Musketeers, Frost/Nixon, X-Men: First Class, and most recently Kill the Messenger. He’ll next appear in the action comedy Mortdecai, alongside Johnny Depp. Parker is probably best known for her recurring role on Netflix’s House of Cards. She’s appeared in a long list of films, including Titanic, The Road, and last year’s Hold Fast. Coming up, she’ll star opposite Nick Krause in the sci-fi movie Darwin. Hershey is known for her roles in Insidious and Black Swan, as well as her recurring role on ABC’s Once Upon a Time. Longworth, who plays the titular nine-year-old Louis Drax, has previously appeared in Cut Bank and Hector and the Search for Happiness.
Platt is repped by WME; Parker is repped by CAA and Red Management; Hershey is repped by Pakula/King & Associates, Impression Entertainment, and Markham Froggatt and Irwin; Longworth is repped by MoGood Talent Management.
