Action thriller SMART CHASE: FIRE & EARTH has landed Orlando Bloom to star. He will also co-produce the film through his newly launched BlissBloom Productions.
Bloom will play a washed-up private security agent who is ambushed as he attempts to escort a pricey Chinese antique out of Shanghai.
Julien Seri is directing with a script from Kevin Bernhardt. Production is scheduled to start in August. Jerome Salle is executive producing, while Eskwad and Bliss Media are producing. Bloom’s BlissBloom be headed by himself and Bliss Media’s CEO Wei Han.
Bloom was last seen in the indie dramedy Digging For Fire and stars in next year’s Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
He is repped by CAA, Lighthouse Management, and Independent Talent Group in the UK.
