Oscar Isaac is officially set to star in the political thriller A FOREIGNER at Paramount. Based on David Grann’s 2011 New York Times article, “A Murder Foretold”, the film centers on a Guatemalan man who, in the event that he’s murdered, distributes videos of his killers after his death in an effort to expose the corruption that led to the countless deaths of others.
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon will helm the film written by Chris Terrio. Steve Zaillian will produce under his Film Rites shingle with Steven Rales, Garrett Basch, Mark Roybal, and Mark Johnson.
Isaac can be seen next as the titular baddie in X-Men: Apocalypse. He is set to reunite with Ex Machina director Alex Garland for the adaptation of the sci-fi thriller Annihilation and will reprise his role as Poe Dameron in Star Wars: Episode VIII.
He’s repped by UTA and Inspire Entertainment.
