Pablo Trapero has officially been tapped to take the reins of THE MAN IN THE ROCKEFELLER SUIT for Fox Searchlight Pictures. The Argentinian filmmaker recently received the Goya Award for best Ibero-American Film for El Clan.
The film is an adaptation of the book by Mark Seal which tells the true story of Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter, a man who posed as member of the Rockefeller family and conned his way into various jobs on Wall Street and into marriage. When his past finally catches up with him, he is in danger of losing custody of his daughter.
In addition to the Goya Award, Trapero’s El Clan was awarded the Silver Lion for best picture at last year’s Venice Film Festival. He is a two-time Oscar nominee for Best Foreign Language for his films Lion’s Den and Carancho.
He is repped by CAA.
