Kelli Garner will star as Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe in MARILYN, the Lifetime channel’s four-hour miniseries about the trouble star. The series is based on J. Randy Taraborrelli’s best-selling book The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe, and will center on Monroe who is battling against the demons she’s inherited from her mentally ill mother Gladys (Susan Sarandon), whom she loves, hates, and wants desperately to save. Laurie Collyer (Sherrybaby) is directing from a script penned by Stephen Kronish (The Kennedys).
Garner was most recently seen opposite Daniel Radcliffe in Horns, a fantasy horror about a young man who awakens to find strange horns sprouting from his temples after his girlfriend’s mysterious death. She is currently filming Zachary Shedd’s Americana with Jack Davenport, which follows an alcoholic film editor who puts together the pieces of his movie star sister’s murder.
Garner is repped by Gersh and John Carrabino Management.
