Marc Evans has been named the Motion Picture Group President by Paramount Pictures. Evans has most recently served as the Production President of the studio. He has replaced Adam Goodman, who was removed in February.
The studio has a plan to increase their current eight major films released per year to between ten and fourteen. Evans has immediately met with CEO Brad Grey to discuss future plans.
As of right now, the studio has a five month gap between Hot Tub Time Machine 2 and Mission Impossible 5. They are looking to avoid further major gaps in releases.
Evans was an anticipated choice for the position due to his popularity on the Paramount lot, and his strong work ethic.
