Patty Jenkins Officially Set to Helm “Wonder Woman” Sequel

Warner Bros. has officially closed a deal for to return to direct the sequel to WONDER WOMAN. Since the box office smash debuted earlier this summer, it appeared a given that Jenkins would return to helm the follow-up with reports saying that she was already working on a script with Geoff Johns and Jon Berg.

The sequel starring Gal Gadot is due out December 13, 2019.

An exact number for how much Jenkins will make to write, direct, and produce is unknown, it appears that Jenkins will set yet another record earning around $8 million. This would make her the highest paid female director of all time. The contract also includes a substantial backend of the box office grosses.

Wonder Woman film earned $409 million domestically and $813 million worldwide. It is also the only film in the current DC universe to receive largely praise from both critics and fans, after divisive reactions to previous films Man of Steel, Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Suicide Squad.

Jenkins is currently developing a TNT series with Wonder Woman love interest Chris Pine, based on the autobiography of Fauna Hodel. She is represented by and .
