StudioCanal and David Heyman are bringing back Paul King to write and direct the sequel to their hit PADDINGTON adaptation. The film is based on the British children’s book character “Paddington Bear,” created by Michael Bond, who first appeared back in 1958.
King previously directed Bunny And The Bull, in which a young shut-in takes an imaginary road trip inside his apartment. The Mighty Boosh helmer has signed on to direct Wonder about a young boy with a facial deformity, struggling to fit in at a new school and is in talks to direct Warner Bros.’ animated musical Meet The Beatles. Clearly, King excels in films that deal with childhood struggles and child-like innocence.
