Erin Eggers, Chase Hudson, and Matthew Porter have teamed up to create Penchant Entertainment, with plans to produce 2-3 films per year and 2-4 scripted TV projects. Their inaugural project is THE SCRAWL written by Zach Crawly and executive produced by the Oscar-nominated writer Eric Heisserer.
The supernatural thriller explores what happens when collective negativity gives birth to an actual monster. It is based on the feature 2013 Killer Toon which starred Si-young Lee and Ki-joon Uhm.
Penchant is developing and executive producing with CJ Entertainment who produced the original film. In features, they are in the works on The Mean Tide, directed by Shana Betz. That project was written by Liska Ostojic and Justin Partridge, based off a screenplay by Mark DeGaetani.
Heisserer has several projects in development including a sequel to Lights Out, Harbinger, Godforsaken, and Inhuman which is also produced by Eggers. Crawly previously worked on Heroes Reborn.
