Peter Chelsom has replaced Katja Von Garnier and will sit in the director’s chair for the upcoming adaptation of Francois Lelord novel, the first in a planned trilogy, HECTOR AND THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS. The feature, produced by Egoli Tossell Film, is scripted by Maria von Heland, which follows a young psychiatrist who travels the world, from Paris to China and Africa to California, in search of what it is that makes people happy. Chelsom’s recent credits include, “Shall We Dance,” “Hannah Montana: The Movie” and “Serendipity.”
Aside from “Hector’s Journey,” Chelsom also has the Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson-starrer “Last Vegas” in development and the romantic comedy, “The Food of Love”
Chelsom is repped by WME and Principato-Young Entertainment.
