Peter Jacobson (House M.D.), Alex Neustaedter (Ithaca), and Gonzalo Menendez (The Dark Knight Rises) have joined the cast of USA’s COLONY. The sci-fi drama from Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Ryan Condal is set in the near future in Los Angeles, which now exists in a state of occupation by a force of alien intruders. Some collaborate with the authorities and benefit from the new order, while others rebel and suffer the consequences. Jacobson is set to play Alan Snyder, the proxy governor of occupied Los Angeles who is under growing pressure to crush the resistance movement. Neustaedter will play Bram, son of Will (Josh Holloway) and Katie’s (Sarah Wayne Callies). Menendez is set to play Captain Lagarza, the commanding officer of a special police unit that carries out missions for the occupational government.
Jacobson starred on the Fox drama House M.D. opposite Hugh Laurie and Olivia Wilde. He is currently recurring on the Showtime drama Ray Donovan and is attached to BMT Films’ A Wake-up Call.
Neustaedter previously appeared on ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. He is attached to the indie drama Ithaca. Directed by Meg Ryan, the film centers on 14-year-old Homer Macauley who is determined to be the best and fastest bicycle telegraph messenger anyone has ever seen. Menendez will next be seen in Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer’s Superfast, a spoof of the Fast and Furious franchise.
