Pete, the character played by Tim Daly on PRIVATE PRACTICE, will not be returning for season 6. Season 5 ended with the character being indicted for his involvement in an assisted suicide, but it’s not entirely clear how the character will finally exit – or if the storyline will be wrapped up at all. Daly is set to star in the upcoming feature-length drama “The Devil in Me”.
HALLMARK
Andie MacDowell is set to star as Judge Olivia Lockhart in CEDAR COVE, the Hallmark Channel’s first ever scripted series. The drama follows the lives of people in the small town of Cedar Cove, with Judge Lockhart’s court being a lightning rod for much of the town’s drama. The show is based on a book series by author Debbie Macomber, with the two-hour pilot’s script adapted by Bruce Graham. MacDowell is currently appearing on ABC Family’s “Jane By Design”.
