Goran Visnjic has joined the cast of the midseason drama RED WIDOW. Created by “Twilight” producer Melissa Rosenberg, the show stars Radha Mitchell as a widow who takes on gangsters and FBI to find out the truth behind her husband’s death. Visnjic is set to play the mafia boss Schiller, replacing Thomas Kretschmann in the role. Visnjic starred in “ER” for nine seasons and has done arcs for “Leverage” and “Pan Am”. He is repped by WME and Management 360.
Ed Skrein and Jacob Anderson have been added to the cast of GAME OF THRONES for the third season. Skrein will play Daario Naharis, the captain of the Stormcrows who will help Daenarys cross the Narrow Sea into Westeros. This will be Skrein’s first appearance on U.S. television. Anderson will play Grey Worm, the leader of a group of slave soldiers who are trained from birth to fight in battle. Anderson currently plays Kevin, a recurring character on “Episodes”. He is repped by Independent Talent Group.
After guest starring in the pilot, Jayson Blair has been bumped up to regular status on the Ryan Murphy comedy, THE NEW NORMAL. Blair starred on the MTV series “The Hard Times of RJ Berger” and has appeared in episodes of “Glee”, “2 Broke Girls” and “The Closer”. He is repped by Justice & Ponder.
Joe Theismann is set to cameo as himself on NECESSARY ROUGHNESS as a potential buyer of the New York Hawks, the professional football team for whom series lead Dr. Danielle Santino (Callie Thorne) acts as a therapist. Theismann wouldn’t be the first NFL alum to appear on the show, but he will be the first one to play himself.
