Dean Israelite is currently closing a deal to direct the upcoming POWER RANGERS movie for Saban and Lionsgate. The original series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers premiered in 1993, with spinoff series made for the next two decades. The property has had three feature films starting with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie in 1995. The story for the new feature was initially developed by Roberto Orci, with Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz writing the screenplay.
Israelite directed the 2014 film Project Almanac, and is set to write the screenplay for the upcoming War Games remake.
