WELCOME TO THE 2019 HIT LIST
Now, back to the list…
YEAR TEN IS HERE.
That’s right, this year marks the first decade of our annual Hit List – presenting to you the best spec scripts of the year, as voted on by Hollywood. This years list features 90 scripts, 108 writers, and most every genre imaginable. And, while more than 85 writers make their first appearance on the list this year, two writers each appear for their six time. It’s a list full of fresh faces, old favorites, swooning rom-coms, white-knuckle thrillers, and a little something for everyone.
And with our tenth book now wrapped, this years list brings our decade Hit List totals to 888 specs from 1,104 writers, and more than 28,000 unique votes from 5,100 voters. We’ve seen more than 350 Hit List projects land on other best of lists, and more than 100 go on to earn Oscar and box office wins alike. In that time we’ve also seen more than 130 writers make return appearances on this list, and more than 50 Launch Pad Alums grace these pages.
