Priyanka Chopra is the latest name added to the roster of beach beauties of the BAYWATCH movie. The international superstar won’t be rescuing lives, but threatening them as the movie’s big baddie.
She joins Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Kelly Rohrbach, Alexandra Daddario, Ilfenesh Hadera, Jon Bass, and Hannibal Buress for the adaption of the movie based on the soapy ’90s TV series about attractive lifeguards. The big-screen version be set in a bay community and follow a group of lifeguards who have to team up with a former Olympian to save the day.
Seth Gordon will direct the most recent draft of the script written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. Johnson will produce with Dany Garcia, Beau Flynn, and Ivan Reitman. Tom Pollock, Greg Bonnan, Michelle Berk, Michael Berk, Doug Schwartz and Tripp Vinson will all serve as executive producers. Filming is slated to start on February 22.
Chopra is a huge film star in her native India. She has made name for herself stateside as the lead in the ABC series, Quantico.
