“Rampage” Adds “Moonlight” Star Naomie Harris

Oscar nominee has lined up her next role with RAMPAGE, starring Dwayne Johnson, from New Line. The project is based on the 1980s video game of the same name.

Plot details for the film are being kept under wraps but it will feature three creatures from the video game, a gorilla, crocodile, and wolf, who wreak havoc on North American cities and landmarks. Johnson has been cast as an animal-loving hero who is the world’s only hope while Harris will play a geneticist with a moral streak.

The original script was penned by Ryan Engle with Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal doing revisions. Adam Sztykiel wrote the most current revisions. Brad Peyton is attached to direct.

Beau Flynn is producing the feature alongside John Rickard and Hiram Garcia. Marcus Viscidi, Jeff Fierson, and Dany Garcia are executive producing with Wendy Jacobson overseeing for The film is set for an April, 2018 release.

Harris has received great critical attention recently for her performance in the Oscar-nominated Moonlight. She has been nominated for an Academy Award, Golden Globe, BAFTA, and SAG award for her performance. She has also recently been seen opposite Daniel Craig in the James Bond franchise and the holiday film Collateral Beauty.
