Rebecca Ferguson is the first actor announced to star in the Skydance sci-fi film LIFE. The film will be directed by Daniel Espinosa and the script will be penned by Deadpool scribes, Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese.
In the tradition of Hollywood’s latest interplanetary films, Life will take place on an International Space Station and follow a crew that discovers signs of life on Mars after retrieving a sample from the planet.
David Ellison and Dana Goldberg are set to produce alongside Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn.
Ferguson had a role in Hercules in 2014 before she received attention for her breakout performance in Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation alongside Tom Cruise. She is set to reprise her role as Isla Faust in the sixth installment of the franchise and can be seen in the forthcoming adaptation of The Girl on the Train with Emily Blunt as well as The Snowman opposite Michael Fassbender.
She is repped by ICM, Tavistock Wood Management, and Actors in Scandinavia.
