David Twohy has signed on to direct Relativity’s REPLAY. The formerly untitled sci-fi spec, written by Joe Gazzam, was picked up by Relativity last summer. The story follows Tyler Vaughn, a test subject in a quantum experiment who is sent into the future where he finds out that his son has been killed and he’s the prime suspect. When the day is over, he goes one day back in time and realizes he must solve the murder before it happens, travelling further and further back in time as he goes.
Twohy started his career as a screenwriter, penning the scripts for the fantasy/horror Warlock, action flick The Fugitive, and Ridley Scott’s G.I. Jane before making a name for himself both writing and directing the The Chronicles of Riddick in 2004 and Riddick in 2013. His upcoming projects include penning Paramount’s action/crime feature The Brazilian Job and writing and directing crime thriller The Leonardo Job.
Twohy is repped by ICM.
