Nina, a public administrator for the city of New York, can't shake the sense that there's a pattern connecting a series of seemingly natural deaths across the five boroughs. What she discovers is a murderer who has come back from the future and a trail of bodies for which she bears a bizarre, time-twisting responsibility.
