Richard Armitage has been tapped to play the lead in Epix’s new spy series, BERLIN STATION. Michelle Forbes has also announced that she will co-star. The series has been picking up cast members over the past couple months with, Rhys Ifans joining as a veteran agent and Richard Jenkins coming aboard as the head of the CIA.
Armitage will be playing Daniel Meyer, a rookie field agent for the CIA who is sent in to discover the source of a leak in Berlin’s foreign station. He is probably most well known for portraying Thorin Oakenshield in the recent Hobbit films. He was also a hit on NBC’s Hannibal as the Red Dragon himself, Francis Dolarhyde. He is repped by WME and Management 360.
Forbes will be playing Valerie Edwards, a by-the-books section head for the titular station. She has been seen across numerous television hits like Chicago Fire, Orphan Black, and The Killing. She is repped by UTA and Berwick & Kovacik.
