Writer/director Richard Bates Jr. has just finished wrapping up his third feature, Trash Fire, a psychological horror comedy described as a combination of Psycho and Harold and Maude.
Richard Bates Jr. is a relatively new filmmaker known for his unique style. He came out with Excision, an American horror comedy film, in 2012, and followed it in 2014 with his next horror comedy, Suburban Gothic. Trash Fire appears to follow the trend.
This film is said to be about the character Owen, played by Adrian Grenier, and his girlfriend Isabel, played by Angela Trimbur. When Owen’s life forces him to face his past, he and Isabel get caught in “web of lies, deceit, murder,” according to the synopsis. Laughter and tears are guaranteed.
Richard Bates Jr. is repped by Circle of Confusion.
Adrian Grenier is repped by The Gersh Agency and Leverage Management.
Angela Trimbur is repped by Abrams Artists Agency and Principato-Young Entertainment.
