Fox drama series PITCH has booked Rita Wilson and Lyndsy Fonseca for guest starring roles. The series was created by Dan Fogelman and follows the first female to play in the major leagues when she joins the San Diego Padres as a pitcher.
Wilson is set to play Andra, a specialized psychiatrist who is hired to meet with Ginny, the series lead. Fonseca has been cast as Cara, a carefree waitress who befriends Ginny and shows her how normal people her age live. The join series regulars Kylie Bunbury as Ginny and Mark-Paul Gosselaar as the team’s catcher, Mike Lawson.
Wilson appeared this summer as Anna in My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, which she also produced, and currently can be seen in Liner Notes: Songwriters, Stories, and Music at Geffen Playhouse.
Fonseca has recurred on several series including Agent Carter, Grandfathered, and How I Met Your Mother.
