Rob Lowe and Kristen Bell are teaming up for the Ken Marino-helmed HOW TO BE A LATIN LOVER. The are joined by Raquel Welch, Rob Riggle, Eugenio Derbez, and previously cast Renee Taylor, Rob Huebel, Michaela Watkins, and Linda Lavin.
Derbez is set to star as an aging Latin lover who is dumped by his sugar mama and is forced to return to live with his estranged sister and her preteen son in their humble home. Sporting a wardrobe consisting mostly of Versace speedos, the man focuses on finding himself another sugar mama to support his expensive tastes. This will be Derbez’s first English-language starring role.
Chris Spain and Jon Zack penned the comedy which is described as in the vein of Bad Teacher. Marino’s Pantelion Films is behind the project along with 3Pas Studios, Lionsgate, and Televisa Cine. Derbez is producing with Ben Odell through 3Pas while Mike Upton executive produces.
Bell can currently be seen in theaters in The Boss and as a voice character in Zootopia. She also stars in the upcoming season of Showtime’s House Of Lies. She is repped by CAA.
