When your name is Johnny Depp and you’re looking for a female co-star, you can bet there will be no shortage of talent lined up and ready for a table read. Warner Bros. has tapped some of Hollywood’s prime talent to potentially star as Nora opposite Depp in THE THIN MAN (REMAKE).
The hopefuls include Eva Green, Amy Adams, Emma Stone, Carey Mulligan, Rachel Weisz, Kristen Wiig, Emily Blunt and Isla Fisher. The remake will be directed by Rob Marshall from a rewrite by Billy Ray. Depp is set to play the tipsy socialite-turned-sleuth Nick Charles, who together with his wife and dog, attempt to solve the murder case of an eccentric inventor.
The original film starred William Powell and Myrna Loy.
