Actor Robbie Amell, who made his name playing Ronnie Raymond aka Firestorm on the CW’s The Flash, has been cast as the male lead in Upload, the new single-camera Amazon comedy pilot from Greg Daniels, creator of The Office.
The high concept show is set in a future where humans can “upload” themselves into their preferred choice of afterlife. Amell plays Nathan, a man who dies at an early age and is greeted by a woman named Nora in his own version of heaven as the two work together to deal with life apart from loved ones.
Before scoring his role on The Flash, joining the CW’s “Arrowverse” alongside cousin Stephen Amell (who plays the lead in Arrow), Amell was the star of the CW’s The Tomorrow People. He also appeared on the previous season of The X-Files.
Amell is repped by WME, Protégé Entertainment, Coast to Coast Talent and Felker Toczek.
