Robert Pattinson and Dane DeHaan have snatched up the two leads in LIFE. The story details the relationship between magazine photographer Dennis Stock and James Dean. Pattinson will play Stock, while DeHaan plays Dean.
Luke Davies wrote the script that Anton Corbijn (“The American”) will direct. Producing will be Iain Canning and Emile Sherman.
Pattinson was last seen in “Cosmopolis” and the mind-shattering “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.” He will soon barely act interested in “The Rover” and “Maps to the Stars,” which had director David Cronenberg lighting up the Hollywood sign (without permission) this week. DeHann could easily change his name to DeMann and it would be fine by me. He starred in the breakout film “Chronicle” and has had roles in “Lawless,” “Lincoln” and “The Place Beyond the Pines.” He’s looking to hit the next level with the strange “Metallica: Through the Never,” the acclaimed “Kill Your Darlings” and the (hopefully better than the first one) “Amazing Spider-Man 2.”
