The film follows a family that goes on a chic safari that they deem “too Disneyland” and decide to trek out for an authentic experience, only to find themselves trapped in a crazy adventure out in the jungle. The project will be produced through the recently minted company Hydra, which Stromberg helped found.
Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher will produce.
Prior to taking helming duties on “Maleficent”, Stromberg served as a visual effects and production designer on an impressive list of films including “The Aviator”, “Tropic Thunder”, “Avatar” and “The Hunger Games”. He is currently also serving as the production designer for Sam Raimi’s “Oz: The Great And Powerful”. He is repped by UTA.
