The indie romantic comedy FOR THE LOVE OF GEORGE has added Rosanna Arquette, Tate Donovan, and Kristen Johnson to the ensemble cast. The three join star Nadia Jordan who also co-wrote the script with Hayley Nolan.
The movie follows a British woman who moves to Los Angeles after finding out her husband has cheated on her. While living in the land of Hollywood, she has a fantasy of meeting her dream man — George Clooney.
Maria Burton is set to direct the movie with Jordan as producer under her Fluffy Cat Productions banner. No details have been given on Arquette, Donovan and Johnson’s characters. The film also stars Rex Lee and Shaun Sipos. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the global human rights charity, Not On Our Watch.
Arquette recently appeared in Frank & Lola and Lovesong, which both premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. She is currently filming the drama The Etruscan Smile with Brian Cox and Thora Birch. She is repped by TalentWorks.
Donovan appeared in the buzzworthy Sundance Film Festival feature Manchester by the Sea and will appear in the upcoming Elvis & Nixon. He is repped by Gersh and Arcieri & Associates.
Johnson is known for her role in TV’s 3rd Rock From the Sun. She has since appeared in many movies and TV shows including HBO’s Getting On, The Exes and Modern Family. She can be seen next in Thrill Ride. She is repped by Paradigm.
