After the massive ratings for the premiere of the ROSEANNE revival on ABC, it’s no surprise the network has renewed the show for a second season, which will be the classic sitcom’s 11th overall. The order is for 13 episodes, up from 9 in the current first installment of the revival.
ABC has been laying the foundation for a second season of its Roseanne revival in the weeks leading to its debut and cast deals for a second season recently closed ahead of the premiere.
The sitcom features the complete original cast as well as series regulars and returning guest stars while exploring life, death, and everything in between through the lens of the Conner household.
“We’re thrilled that America has welcomed the Conner family back into their homes. The show is as fresh and relevant today as it was when it left the air 21 years ago. We can’t wait to see what the ‘Roseanne’ team has in store for next year,” Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment, said.
The Carsey-Werner Television-produced show stars Roseanne Barr as Roseanne Conner, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Lecy Goranson, Sara Gilbert, Michael Fishman, Emma Kenney, Ames McNamara, and Jayden Rey.
