| Why to Read: | This pilot boasts a fun twist on the alien abduction trope by having Molly be indoctrinated as a poacher for aliens, someone who will target humans and nab them for abduction. In the best way, it feels very much like one of the more comedic episodes of THE X-FILES, smoothly stretched out to be a series. The added element of Molly getting her revenge in her suburban town by having all the jerks who contribute to her misery in life be abducted adds a nice vicarious thrill to the series. A great, ironic setting and a bunch of wacky townspeople characters add to the successful world-building and provide opportunities for plenty of hilarious stories. |
