Rumor has it that “Thor,” aka Chris Hemsworth, is in contention to lead Shane Black’s DOC SAVAGE. Based on the character written by Lester Dent, Doc Savage is the world’s only hope at defending against tyranny in 1930′s America. The action adventure project is not only helmed by Black, but penned by him with the help of Anthony Bagarozzi and Chuck Mondry.
Hemsworth is no stranger to playing the hero, having starred as Thor in “Thor,” “The Avengers,” and “Thor: The Dark World” as well as the upcoming “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” He also played The Huntsman in “Snow White and the Huntsman.” Next up, he’s slated to appear in Michael Mann’s crime drama “Cyber” and the Ron Howard drama “Heart of the Sea,” also starring Michelle Fairley and Cillian Murphy.
