We’re hearing reports that early drafts of ANT-MAN have scientist Hank Pym meeting up at S.H.I.E.L.D. with Howard Stark, Peggy Carter, and Armin Zola, who are, of course, played by Dominic Cooper, Hayley Atwell, and Toby Jones in the Marvel universe. Nothing’s confirmed yet, and the draft was penned by Edgar Wright, pre-departure, but with Marvel looking for more crossover in its vast universe, there’s certainly a possibility that this is legit.
Cooper will be reprising his role as Howard Stark for the spin-off series “Agent Carter,” a role which he began in “Captain America: The First Avenger.” Cooper has also appeared in “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter,” “My Week With Marilyn,” and “Need for Speed.” He also starred as the famed James Bond author in “Fleming,” the BBC miniseries.
Atwell, likewise, has previously appeared as Peggy Carter in both “Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter,” and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” She’ll reprise her role on the series and in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” Outside the Marvel universe, Atwell will play Cinderella’s mother in the upcoming Disney flick “Cinderella.”
Jones is known for his Marvel role as Armin Zola in “Captain America: The First Avenger” and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and unlike his cohorts, isn’t yet attached to the ABC series. He’s currently working on the final two installments of the “Hunger Games” franchise, where he plays Claudius Templesmith and will also lend his voice to Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass.”
