Brand will play Keith, a hitman known as Butterfingers, who is involved in a race to score a hit before his arch-rival, while at the same time watching over two kids he’s kidnapped.
Butterfingers is directed by Barnaby Southcombe (I, Anna) with the screenplay by Tom Nash. Fyzz Facility is financing the film that will be produced by Fyzz Facility’s Mark Lane, James Harris, Wayne Marc Godfrey and Robert Jones along with Embargo Films.
Highland Film Group will handle global sales at next week’s Berlin Film Festival.
Repped by WME and Hannah Chambers Management, Brand’s first breakout role came from appearing in Nicholas Stoller and Jason Segel’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which was followed by Get Him to the Greek. More recently, Brand voiced the role of Creek in DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls and appeared in Larry Charles’ Army of One, both of which were released in the U.S. on Nov. 4, 2016.
