Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone are currently circling the Damien Chazelle film LA LA LAND. Written by Chazelle, the film is a love story between a jazz pianist and an aspiring actress. It is set to have the style of an old fashioned musical. Miles Teller, who previously collaborated with the director on Whiplash, and Emma Watson were previously attached to star. Gosling and Stone are not yet locked in, but Chazelle is working to get them on board.
Gosling, known for his roles in The Notebook and Drive, has recently signed on to star in the Guillermo del Toro re-imagining of Disney’s Haunted Mansion. His directorial debut Lost River was recently released.
Known for roles in Easy A and The Help, Stone recently received an Oscar nomination for her role in the film Birdman with Michael Keaton. She will star in the upcoming Cameron Crowe film Aloha, alongside of Bradley Cooper.
