Ryan Gosling is currently in talks to star in the upcoming BLADE RUNNER SEQUEL, directed by Prisoners director Denis Villeneuve. It has been confirmed that the sequel takes place decades after the original, and will be based off of a story developed by Ridley Scott and original screenwriter Hampton Fancher. Gosling will star alongside of Harrison Ford, who will be reprising his role from the original 1982 film directed by Ridley Scott. The films are based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by groundbreaking sci-fi author Philip K. Dick.
Gosling, known for his roles in The Notebook and Drive, has recently signed on to star in the Guillermo del Toro re-imagining of Disney’s Haunted Mansion. He is also currently in talks to star in Damien Chazelle’s upcoming musical La La Land, alongside of Emma Stone. He has been offered various roles over the past few months. He was offered a lead role in Beauty and The Beast. His directorial debut Lost River was recently released.
