English actor Mark Strong is set to star opposite Sacha Baron Cohen in GRIMSBY. The comedy follows a British black ops spy after he is forced to go on the run with his idiotic brother, an English football hooligan. I’ll let you guess who plays the hooligan and who plays the spy.
Strong is no stranger to spy roles, having played Jim Prideaux in “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy” but he’s not so well versed in comedic roles. He normally goes for more action packed titles, including roles in “Zero Dark Thirty” and “Sherlock Holmes.” Next up for Strong is the Alan Turing biopic “The Imitation Game” starring Benedict Cumberbatch and mystery/thriller “Before I Go to Sleep” which stars Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth.
Strong is repped by CAA.
