Katey Sagal, best know for her work on “Sons Of Anarchy,” “Futurama,” and “Married With Children” has joined the musical sequel, PITCH PERFECT 2. The story is being kept under wraps, but Sagal will be playing the mother of another new comer to the franchise, Hailee Steinfeld.
Sagal will be joining the aforementioned Steinfeld, Elizabeth Banks, Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, and Adam DeVine on the big screen. Banks will be making her directorial debut from a script by Kay Cannon. The film is being produced by Banks, Paul Brooks, and Max Handelman.
Sagal is a great actress, and she can sing; as proven when all of the characters of “Futurama” break out into song (which happened quite often)… also she’s currently on tour with her band promoting her latest album. So yeah, she is a great choice for the role. I have always wanted to see her on the big screen more, as we most often just see her own every scene she has been in on television over the past 25 plus years. She will be featured on NBC’s upcoming new series “A To Z” and will return for the final season of “Sons Of Anarchy” as well.
