The actor has just signed on to play the lead in the film, a young orphan named Philip who believes that his mysterious cousin Rachel (played by Rachel Weisz) has killed his guardian, who is also a cousin of theirs. Claflin has had his hand in quite a few of this century’s film franchises. He got his break in the last Pirates of the Caribbean film, and moved from there to grab a supporting role in Snow White and the Huntsman (a role that he will reprise next year in The Huntsman), then his big role as Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (a role he will also reprise in the upcoming The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2).
