The finalists have been announced for the 2012 Samuel Goldwyn Screenwriting Awards. The awards are designed to encourage young film, stage and television writers across eight University of California campuses.
From more than 200 feature-length scripts, these five were chosen as the 2010 finalists. From them, the first prize winner will receive $15,000, second $7,500, third $4,000, with two honorable mentions of $2,000 and $1,000.

- Marissa Matteo (UCLA) – LIONS AND MEN
